Graphic Design Intern
About this role
About the Role
Agentic Academy Labs is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to help shape our visual identity across every student touchpoint — from the first scroll on Instagram to the thumbnail that makes someone click "Enroll" on an AI engineering course. This is a remote internship where you'll own real design projects, not just shadow tasks.
We teach students how to build with LLMs, agentic workflows, and modern dev tools. Our brand lives at the intersection of technical depth and approachable creativity. You'll translate complex AI concepts into visuals that feel sharp, modern, and human.
What You Will Do
- Design course thumbnails and landing page graphics that drive clicks and enrollments
- Create social media creatives for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Instagram, and YouTube — static posts, carousels, short-form video covers
- Build presentation decks for webinars, workshops, and partner pitches that look polished without feeling corporate
- Develop brand assets: illustrations, icon sets, UI patterns, and template systems that scale across channels
- Collaborate with the Content, Marketing, and Curriculum teams to turn briefs into finished assets on tight timelines
- Iterate based on performance data — learn what visual patterns convert for an education audience
- Contribute to the design system so future interns and contractors move faster
Why Join Us
- Portfolio work that ships: Every project goes live. You'll graduate with a case study, not a hypothetical.
- Mentorship from working designers: Get feedback loops, not just approvals.
- Exposure to AI tooling: We use Figma, but we also experiment with Midjourney, Runway, and code-based design workflows — you'll learn where AI fits in a modern design process.
- Flexible hours, async-first culture: Built for students. Sync when it matters, async by default.
- Stipend + completion certificate + referral letter for strong performers
- Potential conversion path to a longer-term role for interns who own their craft
Duration: 3–6 months (flexible around academics)
Commitment: 15–20 hrs/week
Start: Rolling basis
Requirements
Required Skills
- Strong visual design fundamentals: typography, hierarchy, color, composition
- Fluency in Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping, design tokens)
- Comfortable designing for multiple formats: 16:9, 1:1, 9:16, 4:5, presentation ratios
- Ability to take a brief and run — ask clarifying questions, propose options, deliver on deadline
- Portfolio (Behance, Dribbble, Notion, PDF, or drive link) showing range: social, web, presentation, illustration
- Written + verbal English communication — you'll present work and document decisions
Learning Goals (What You'll Pick Up)
- Designing for conversion in an ed-tech context
- Building and maintaining a component-driven design system
- Collaborating async with cross-functional squads (content, marketing, curriculum, engineering)
- Using AI-assisted creative workflows responsibly
- Presenting design rationale to non-design stakeholders
Nice-to-Haves
- Motion basics: After Effects, Rive, or Lottie for micro-animations
- Illustration style (vector, flat, or generative-assisted)
- Basic HTML/CSS understanding — helps when handing off to dev
- Experience with Notion, Linear, or GitHub for project tracking
- Prior internship, freelance, or student org design experience
Note: We care more about your eye, process, and hustle than years of experience. If your portfolio shows taste and you can explain your decisions, apply.
