UI/UX Design Intern

About the Role

Agentic Academy Labs is building the next generation of AI education platforms, and we need fresh design talent to help shape how thousands of students learn to build with AI. As a UI/UX Design Intern on our Design team, you will work directly with senior designers and product managers to create intuitive, engaging experiences for our ed-tech products. This is a hands-on remote internship where your contributions will have real impact on how students interact with our learning tools, courses, and community features.

You will be involved in every stage of the design process, from researching user needs to creating polished interface designs. Our focus is on making complex AI concepts accessible through thoughtful, user-centered design. This internship is perfect for design students who are passionate about education technology and want to see their work shipped to real users.

What You Will Do

• Create wireframes, user flows, and prototypes for new ed-tech features using Figma
• Conduct usability research with students and educators to identify pain points in our learning platform
• Design responsive interfaces for web and mobile learning experiences
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and content creators to align designs with product goals
• Participate in design reviews and iterate based on feedback from the team and users
• Contribute to our design system by creating and refining UI components
• Analyze user behavior data to inform design decisions and improvements
• Help create design documentation and specifications for development teams

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Design, HCI, UX/UI, or a related field
• Proficiency in Figma and other design prototyping tools
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices
• Ability to create clear wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes
• Basic knowledge of web and mobile design patterns and constraints
• Excellent communication skills for presenting ideas and receiving feedback
• Strong attention to detail and visual design sensibility
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment

Nice-to-Haves

• Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design projects or case studies
• Experience with usability testing and research methodologies
• Familiarity with design systems and component-based design
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic front-end concepts
• Experience designing for educational technology or SaaS products
• Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
