About this role

About the Role

Agentic Academy Labs is looking for a curious DevOps Intern to help make our learning products reliable, easy to release, and delightful to use. You will join our Engineering team and learn how modern software moves from a developer’s laptop to learners across India and beyond. This is a hands-on, remote internship focused on CI/CD, cloud fundamentals, monitoring, and deployment pipelines for the academy products that power our AI education experiences.

What You Will Do

  • Partner with engineers to improve automated build, test, and deployment workflows using tools such as GitHub Actions.
  • Help create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for web and backend services, making releases repeatable, observable, and safer.
  • Explore cloud basics, including compute, storage, environments, secrets, and deployment configuration, with guidance from an experienced mentor.
  • Assist with monitoring dashboards, logs, alerts, and basic incident investigation so product teams can respond quickly to issues.
  • Test deployments in staging, document runbooks, and share practical ideas for improving developer experience and system reliability.
  • Learn how product, engineering, education, and operations teams collaborate to support tools used by students building with AI and LLMs.
  • Participate in code reviews, retrospectives, and knowledge-sharing sessions while contributing thoughtful improvements to our infrastructure practices.

Why Join Us

At Agentic Academy Labs, interns are treated as members of the team. You will receive mentorship, honest feedback, and opportunities to experiment in a supportive environment. Our products are educational, so your work has a visible impact: more reliable releases help learners focus on building projects instead of dealing with technical interruptions.

You will gain practical exposure to the full software delivery lifecycle and build a foundation for a future in DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering, or software development. You will also develop communication, documentation, and collaboration skills by explaining technical decisions clearly to teammates. If you enjoy learning systems, asking good questions, and turning ideas into dependable workflows, this internship is a great place to grow.

Internship Details

This is a remote internship with flexible collaboration across time zones that work for you in India. You will work asynchronously, join regular video check-ins, and receive clear milestones from your mentor. We are committed to a supportive learning experience and do not expect you to know every tool on day one.

Requirements

Required Skills

  • Strong interest in DevOps, cloud computing, or reliable software delivery.
  • Basic familiarity with a command line, Git, and one programming language or framework; you should be comfortable learning new tools.
  • Understanding of how software is built, tested, and released, or a willingness to learn these concepts quickly.
  • Clear written communication and a habit of documenting steps, questions, and decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate respectfully in a remote, team-based environment.

Learning Goals

  • Learn to design and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for academy products.
  • Build hands-on skills in cloud environments, containers, configuration, secrets, and deployment workflows.
  • Understand monitoring, logging, alerting, and basic incident response.
  • Practice Git workflows, code review, automation, and DevOps documentation.
  • Develop problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or another CI/CD platform.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, or Linux administration.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or cloud logging services.
  • A small personal project, lab, or open-source contribution that demonstrates learning and initiative.

Prior professional DevOps experience is not required. We welcome students who are curious, dependable, eager to share questions, and ready to contribute to a positive engineering culture.
