About the Role
Have you ever wondered how to get the most accurate and useful responses out of an AI model? At Agentic Academy Labs, we believe that prompt engineering is one of the most valuable skills for the next generation of AI builders. As a Prompt Engineering Intern, you will get a hands-on opportunity to experiment, test and scale the prompts that power our AI education tools. This remote internship is built specifically for students in India who are eager to apply their ideas to real projects, gain mentorship and build skills that will be in high demand in 2026 and beyond.
What You Will Do
Master Prompt Design: Craft, iterate and refine prompts for a wide range of tasks, from coding assistance to educational content, with the goal of maximising accuracy and reliability.
Build and Run Eval Harnesses: Assist in creating simple evaluation harnesses that can automatically test, score and track the performance of prompts over time.
Experiment with Agent Workflows: Get exposure to multi-step agent workflows and help optimise how they reason, retrieve information and take action to complete tasks.
Uphold Content Quality: Review AI generated outputs, flag inconsistencies and work with the team to improve safety, tone and factual accuracy across our learning resources.
Collaborate and Document: Work closely with our engineering and curriculum teams, documenting your findings so that other students can learn from them as well.
Learn Through Feedback: Take part in regular code and prompt reviews where you will receive actionable feedback from experienced AI practitioners.
Why Join Us
Learn by Building: Rather than reading theory alone, you will ship changes to live tools that are used by students learning how to build with AI.
Mentorship that Matters: You will be guided by a supportive team of engineers who are passionate about teaching and growing the next wave of builders.
Real Impact: Your work will directly improve the learning experience for thousands of students across India who are exploring AI for the first time.
Flexibility and Growth: This is a fully remote internship that fits around your college schedule, with the freedom to ask questions, experiment and grow at your own pace.
Build a Strong Portfolio: Leave with tangible projects, measurable results and references that you can proudly showcase to future recruiters.
Requirements
Required Skills
Logical Thinking: Strong ability to break down problems and communicate them clearly in written form.
Basic Python Knowledge: Familiarity with Python, as it will be used to test and run your prompts and small scripts.
Curiosity for AI: A genuine interest in how LLMs work and a willingness to test ideas, even if they fail.
Attention to Detail: The ability to spot small errors, inconsistencies or edge cases in AI generated content.
Self-Driven Learning: You are comfortable researching, asking questions and picking up new tools on your own.
Learning Goals
Practical Prompting: Learn scalable techniques for prompt design that can be used across multiple use cases.
Automated Testing: Gain hands-on experience building and running eval harnesses to measure prompt performance.
Agentic Systems: Develop a foundational understanding of agent workflows and how to debug them effectively.
Quality Assurance: Learn how to uphold content quality at scale for an educational audience.
Nice to Haves
API Exposure: Any prior experience calling APIs (such as for LLMs) is a bonus, but not required.
Data or Evaluation Experience: Familiarity with simple metrics or test cases will be helpful.
Teaching or Writing Experience: If you have explained tech concepts before, we would love to leverage that skill to improve our learning materials.
Project Showcase: Any small AI, coding or automation projects that you can share with us are highly appreciated.
