Prompt Engineer Remote
About this role
Prompt Engineer Remote positions involve designing, testing, evaluating, and optimizing prompts for large language models (LLMs) to achieve desired outputs across various applications such as chatbots, content generation, and data analysis. Engineers work closely with AI researchers, product managers, and software developers to understand business goals and translate them into effective prompt strategies. Responsibilities include creating prompt libraries, conducting A/B testing, analyzing model responses for bias and accuracy, and iterating based on feedback. Remote work allows collaboration with global teams, requiring strong communication skills and self‑management. Candidates should stay current with advancements in generative AI, be proficient in programming languages like Python, and have experience with APIs from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Hugging Face. The role offers the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to cutting‑edge AI products that shape how users interact with technology. In addition to technical tasks, prompt engineers often document best practices, maintain version‑controlled prompt repositories, and provide training or guidance to non‑technical stakeholders on how to craft effective prompts. They may also participate in cross‑functional sprints, contribute to model fine‑tuning efforts, and help establish evaluation metrics that align with business objectives. This dynamic role blends creativity, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of both language model capabilities and user needs.

- Proven experience designing and refining prompts for LLMs (e.g., GPT‑4, Claude, Llama)
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML libraries (e.g., transformers, Hugging Face)
- Strong analytical skills; ability to assess model outputs for quality, bias, and relevance
- Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and documentation practices
- Knowledge of API integration and basic cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Self‑motivated, able to manage time effectively in a fully remote setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Passion for staying up‑to‑date with the latest research in generative AI and prompt engineering
