LLM Research Intern

Sony Research India is seeking an LLM Research Intern to support research and experimentation in large language models. This internship is based in Bengaluru and is suited for candidates interested in advancing practical and foundational AI research. The intern will contribute to literature review, experiment design, model evaluation, data preparation, and documentation under the guidance of the research team. The role may involve prototyping LLM-based workflows, analyzing results, and collaborating with engineers and researchers to improve model performance and reliability. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced research environment, communicating findings clearly, and iterating on experiments using modern machine learning tools. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with LLM research while contributing to real-world AI initiatives at Sony Research India.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Familiarity with machine learning, NLP, and large language models
• Experience with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Ability to design, run, and evaluate experiments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in research and responsible AI development
