DevOps Intern

About the Role

We are looking for a curious and motivated DevOps Intern to join the Engineering team at Agentic Academy Labs. As an AI education platform, we ship new features, course updates, and product improvements every week, and reliable delivery is at the heart of that pace. You will help build and improve the pipelines, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure that keep our academy products running smoothly for students across India and beyond.

This is a hands-on internship designed for students who want to move beyond theory and learn how real production systems are deployed and maintained. You will work closely with our engineers, ask questions freely, and ship actual improvements that our learners use every day.

What You Will Do

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for our academy products using modern tooling
• Set up and monitor cloud environments for development, staging, and production
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging so we catch issues before our students do
• Automate repetitive deployment tasks and reduce manual release steps
• Collaborate with full stack and frontend engineers to streamline their release workflows
• Document deployment processes and infrastructure decisions for the team
• Participate in incident reviews and help improve reliability over time

Why Join Us

• Work on real infrastructure that serves thousands of learners
• Learn directly from engineers who build and scale AI education products
• Flexible remote setup that fits around your studies
• Mentorship, feedback, and a clear learning roadmap
• Opportunity to convert to a longer engagement based on performance
• Be part of a mission to make AI education accessible and practical

What You Will Learn

By the end of this internship, you will understand how modern software is delivered, how to reason about reliability, and how to think like a platform engineer. You will leave with production experience that stands out on your resume.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of Linux, command line, and Git
• Familiarity with at least one programming or scripting language (Bash, Python, or JavaScript)
• Understanding of how web applications are built and deployed
• Willingness to learn cloud concepts and CI/CD tooling quickly
• Strong communication skills and comfort working remotely

Learning Goals

• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines end to end
• Gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Configure monitoring, alerting, and log aggregation
• Understand containerization and basic orchestration concepts
• Practice infrastructure as code and version control for infra

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
• Familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Basic knowledge of networking and DNS
• Prior internship or project experience deploying a web app

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• Available for 10 to 20 hours per week for at least 3 months
• Reliable internet connection and a working laptop
• Genuine interest in DevOps and platform engineering
