Data Scientist
About this role
As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing statistical models and machine learning algorithms to extract insights from complex datasets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business problems, design data-driven solutions, and deploy predictive models into production environments. Key responsibilities include data cleaning and preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model training and evaluation, and communicating findings to stakeholders. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Python or R, and experience with libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. You will work on projects that impact product recommendations, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and demand forecasting. This is a remote position with flexible hours, offering the opportunity to work with a diverse team across different time zones.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data science or machine learning roles.
- Proficiency in Python or R, with experience in pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
